So, I wore my chucks to work today.  Being sneakers I forgot how ripe they could get.  After getting home and sitting back on the couch I proceeded to take them off.  Upon removing the first I threw it to the floor and noticed my cat pounce over to it and shove her head into its odorous maw.  Chuckling to myself and muttering something about that “learning” her, I threw my other shoe down. Understandably, given the horror she had just endured, the cat looked up at me with a rather awkward expression, but then, much to my suprise, she proceeded to push her face into the newer shoe.

This is not where I had a revelation.  I only thought I did.  You see, I realized that cats are not the smarter animals.  All of that aloof behavior and intelligent stares, an accident.

I retold this story to a buddy of mine and we laughed a little.  Then he sent me this:

Happy Thanksgiving!

I had a blast with my family, played tennis, ate good food.  Beautiful day.  I wish I could have been multiple places at once.  I poured one out on the curb for the friends I didn’t see over the holiday.   Hope yours was awesome!

To anyone out there that is at work and isn’t taking the extra days, I’m right here with you. My trillian buddy is away so I’ve got no one to make snide remarks to during the day.  Either I need to start a twitter acount or my wife is going to get really annoyed with me.

I haven’t forgotten about the Rock Band pictures, I’m just slack.

I hope everyone has a great break, and if you are already on said break, enjoy a bit of it for us, the people sitting at work, waiting for the few days to pass.
